Elected as city councillor in 2009, Aref Salem has held the position of associate councillor to Montréal’s executive committee. His responsibilities have included culture, heritage and design, as well as relations with citizens of diverse origins. A graduate of the Université de Montréal and HEC, Mr. Salem also sits on the Conseil des arts de Montréal as well as on the board and executive of Cégep de Saint-Laurent.
